Tigers suffer series sweep against the L.A. Angels, 4-2
Johnny Giavotella hit a tiebreaking, two-run single with the bases loaded in the 8th inning as the Los Angeles Angels completed a four-game weekend series sweep with a 4-2 victory over the Detroit Tigers.
Starting pitcher David Price allowed four runs, eight hits, and four walks in 7 & 2/3 innings while striking out six batters for Detroit.
After a grueling west coast trip, the Tigers return home to Comerica Park to begin the month of June with a three-game series against Oakland. The first game is set to begin this Tuesday night at 7 pm.
