Rough morning leads to brutal end as Lions lose to Chiefs, 45-10
Alex Smith threw for 145 yards and a pair of touchdowns to lead the Kansas City Chiefs to a demoralizing 45-10 victory over the Detroit Lions at Wembley Stadium in London, England. This game was the last of three regular-season NFL games in the UK.
Quarterback Matthew Stafford threw for 217 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions for Detroit while wide receiver Calvin Johnson had only 85 receiving yards and running back Joique Bell ran for just 56 yards.
After their bye week next week, the Lions will remain on the road as they kickoff the 2nd half of the season in Green Bay against their division rival Packers. Game time is set for Sunday, November 15th at 1 pm.
