Tigers' Sunday game vs. KC postponed due to rain
The Tigers announced this morning that Sunday's baseball game against the Kansas City Royals has been postponed.
The game was scheduled to start at 1:05 p.m., but a steady rain has continued all morning and into the afternoon. The Tigers were looking to complete a three-game sweep of the Royals, after winning 3-1 on Friday night and 3-0 on Saturday.
The postponed game will be made up on September 1st at 1:05 pm, on what was originally scheduled to be a day off for both teams. Tigers pitcher Max Scherzer, 7-1 in eight starts, was supposed to start today's game and will instead pitch Monday night when the Tigers begin a two-game series against the Blue Jays at 7:05 pm at Comerica Park. Rick Porcello, who was supposed to start Monday's game, will now pitch Tuesday.
