Tigers-Reds series finale postponed due to rain
Steady rain at the Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati caused the postponement of the interleague series finale between the Detroit Tigers and the Reds.
No makeup date was announced, however, both teams will have three Mondays available in August -- the 3rd, the 17th, and the 24th.
Justin Verlander was supposed to have been the starting pitcher for Detroit, but due to the rain causing the postponement, he has moved up to start against the New York Yankees as the Tigers begin a three-game weekend series in the Big Apple this Friday night at 7 pm.
