Rain postpones Tigers' weekend finale with Twins
The Detroit Tigers' game the Minnesota Twins was postponed due to rain. With showers and high winds in the forecast, the decision to postpone the game came two and a half hours before the scheduled first pitch.
No makeup date has been announced, but it's possible the game could be rescheduled during the time of August 22-24 or September 15-17 when the Tigers return to Minnesota.
With an off-day on Monday, Sunday's scheduled starter, Justin Verlander, will be pushed back to Tuesday when the Tigers take on the White Sox, followed by Max Scherzer, assuming there are no weather concerns in Chicago.
