Rain postpones Tuesday's Tigers-Blue Jays game
For the second time in three days, the Detroit Tigers were rained out, this time the weather postponing the finale of their two-game series against the Toronto Blue Jays. The game has been rescheduled in the middle of interleague play for June 27th at 7:05 pm. Both teams were originally scheduled to have that day off.
The Tigers will skip Rick Porcello in the rotation, sticking with Phil Coke on Wednesday and Justin Verlander on Thursday in a two-game series against the Red Sox in Boston.
After avoiding postponements in April, the Tigers now have two games to make up. The first was last Sunday's game against the Kansas City Royals, which has been moved to September 1st.
The Tigers had only six games postponed last season, three of which were in May, and two of which were at home.
