Penny struggles again as Tigers lose to Kansas City, 10-2
With the playoffs right around the corner, the Detroit Tiger starters are getting ready for the real season to begin. But for now, Brad Penny is struggling to find his postseason form, for he did not get past the fifth inning as the Kansas City Royals beat up Detroit, 10-2.
Penny (10-11) pitched four innings, allowing seven runs and ten hits. Kansas City put six runs in the fourth while the Tigers played catchup all night.
Austin Jackson had two hits including an RBI double in the fifth inning.
