CMU women enters MAC semis with win over Miami U., 78-64
The #5 Central Michigan Chippewas got 57 points from their three MAC All-Freshman Team selections as they defeated the #4 Miami University RedHawks, 78-64, in the quarterfinals of the MAC Women's Tournament inside Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.
Jas'Mine Bracey tied a career high with 21 points on 10-of-13 shooting from the field, Crystal Bradford recorded her second double-double of the tournament with 19 points & 13 rebounds, and Jessica Green scored 17 points and dished out five assists.
The Chippewas (19-14) are on a six-game win streak, which is their longest since CMU won seven straight in 1987-88. The action continues as Central Michigan will now face #1 Bowling Green in the MAC semifinals this Friday at noon. In the other semifinal game, #2 Eastern Michigan will take on #3 Toledo at approximately 2:30 pm.
