Notre Dame & UConn complete the women's Final Four

Skylar Diggins had a triple-double as the #1 Notre Dame Fighting Irish earned its second straight Final Four appearance by beating the #2 Maryland Terrapins, 80-49 in the Raleigh regional final.

The Big East player of the year and AP All-America selection finished with 22 points, 11 assists, 10 rebounds—and five steals. As for the Irish, only one of Notre Dame’s four tournament wins was closer than 31 points.




Tiffany Hayes scored 22 points as the #1 Connecticut Huskies beat the #2 Kentucky Wildcats, 80-65 in the Kingston regional final.

With UConn making their 5th straight appearance to the Final Four, it means that all four #1 seeds (including Notre Dame, Baylor, & Stanford) are headed to Denver, Colorado, which is the first time that’s happened since 1989.
