O's tie Yankees again; Nationals improve magic number

Even as Atlanta shut out Colorado 1-0, the Washington Nationals reduced their magic number to 18 with a big win over the Chicago Cubs, 9-2, despite having to deal with two bench-clearing incidents. Amazingly enough, no punches were thrown during the ruckus.

AL EAST - The Baltimore Orioles came away with a huge win over the N.Y. Yankees, 10-6, to once again tie them for the divison lead.

AL WEST - With a hard fought win against Kansas City, the Texas Rangers improved their magic number to 21 over the idle Oakland A's.
