Injury-prone UDM women fall to Vikings at home, 78-71
Playing without their key starters, four players scored in doubles figures, but the rally well short as the Detroit Titans lost, 78-71, to the Cleveland State Vikings at Calihan Hall.
Senior Senee Shearer finished with a team-high 24 points while freshman Megan Galloway produced 13 points and a career-high 10 rebounds. Sophomore DaVonna Bradford had a career-high 12 points with five rebounds and sophomore Tayelor McCalister added 11 points, five rebounds, & four assists.
UDM will attempt to bounce back as they get ready for Homecoming weekend as they host Oakland in a day-night doubleheader this Saturday at Calihan Hall. The women will start things off at 2 pm, with the raising of their 2013 Women's Basketball Invitational (WBI) championship banner prior to the game, followed by the men at 7 pm.
