Titans improve to 3-5 in Horizon with 74-68 win over UIC

Juwan Howard Jr. recorded his ninth 20-point performance of the season with a game-high 25 points as the Detroit Titans defeated the UIC Flames, 74-68, at Calihan Hall. The win improved the Titans to 3-5 in Horizon League play this season.

Along with his 25 points, Howard finished with three assists and two steals. Sophomore Anton Wilson scored 16 points, including nine of the Titans' final 13 points, while senior co-captain Evan Bruinsma recorded 15 points and nine rebounds. Senior center Ugochukwu Njoku finished with a game & career-high 12 rebounds, while freshmen Matthew Grant & Jarod Williams combined to score 12 points with five assists and three steals.

The Titans (10-13) will stay at Calihan Hall this weekend as they host Cleveland State this Friday night at 7 pm.
