Giants shutout Royals, 5-0, to take 3-2 lead in World Series
The San Francisco Giants are now just one win from yet another championship after Madison Bumgarner threw a four-hitter to shutout the Kansas City Royals, 5-0, for a 3-2 lead in the 2014 World Series.
As MVP chants broke out from each packed corner of AT&T Park in San Francisco, Bumgarner became a part of history by finishing off the first World Series shutout in 11 years.
Jake Peavy gets the first chance to seal it for San Francisco when he starts Game 6 at Kauffman Stadium this Tuesday night against Kansas City rookie Yordano Ventura.
