UDM women dominate Valpo; Western rallies to defeat Eagles
The Detroit Titans led from start to finish in a 78-57 road victory against the Valparaiso Crusaders. The win also assured UDM that they would not finish ninth like the Horizon League Preseason Poll had predicted.
Sophomore Haleigh Ristovski and freshman Nicole Urbanick lead the Detroit with 17 points each. 17 points was also a season high for Urbanick. Freshman Darianne Seward finished the day with 12 points, tied her season-high with eight rebounds, and recorded a season-best six assists.
The Titans (11-16, 6-8 HL) will now travel to the state Wisconsin for their final two games of the regular season, beginning with Milwaukee this Wednesday night at 8 pm.

Drake LaMont scored a career-high 27 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as the Western Michigan Broncos rallied to defeat the Eastern Michigan Eagles, 80-72.
Thomas Wilder added 23 points for the Broncos, who shot 51% from the field and made 85% of their free throws. Raven Lee scored 26 points for the Eagles while Mike Talley added 18 points and Anali Okoloji contributed with 13 points.
Both teams will hit the road this Wednesday night as Western Michigan (18-11, 9-7 MAC) heads to Northern Illinois for an 8 pm game while Eastern Michigan (17-12, 6-10 MAC) stops by Ball State for a 7 pm game.
