Tigers roughed up in Boston under the lights, 11-1
Under the lights of Fenway Park, David Ortiz homered twice and drove in a career-high seven runs to lead the Boston Red Sox to an 11-1 victory over the Detroit Tigers.
Nick Castellanos hit a solo homerun for the second straight day to produce the only run for the Tigers, who have now lost six of their last nine games. Detroit's starting pitcher Shane Greene (4-8 ) didn't even make it out of the 5th inning as he gave up five runs on 11 hits in only 4 & 1/3 innings.
Up next for the Tigers (48-50) is a trip to the southeast to face David Price's former team, the Tampa Bay Rays, is a three-game series. The first is set for this Monday night at 7 pm.
