MSU crushes Indiana to go 8-0; WMU & CMU win; EMU loses

Quarterback Connor Cook threw for 398 yards and four touchdowns as the Michigan State Spartans remained undefeated (8-0) with a 52-26 victory over the Indiana Hoosiers. Cook threw all four of his touchdown passes on 3rd down and fell just short of the school record of 400 yards passing, set by Bill Burke in 1999 against Michigan.




Broncos quarterback Zach Terrell threw for 278 yards and three touchdowns as Western Michigan defeated the Miami (OH) RedHawks, 35-13. Western's wide receiver Daniel Braverman finished the day with 13 catches for 135 yards




Cooper Rush completed 30-of-38 passes for 316 yards and two touchdowns to help the Central Michigan Chippewas slip past the Ball State Cardinals, 23-21. With the win, Central (4-4 / 3-1 MAC) snapped a five-game losing streak against Ball State.




Drew Hare threw four touchdown passes and Joel Bouagnon rushed for 136 yards & a touchdown to help the Northern Illinois Huskies take down the Eastern Michigan Eagles, 49-21. Running back Darius Jackson finished with 101 yards rushing & two touchdowns for EMU (1-7 / 0-4 MAC), who have now lost eight straight games against NIU.
