EMU & OU men win; State women lose 1st game of season
James Thompson IV had 23 points and a career-high 15 rebounds as the Eastern Michigan Eagles used a 22-point halftime lead to take down the Madonna Crusaders, 79-63. EMU led by as many as 30 points in the 2nd half and outrebounded Madonna, 52-31.
Thompson IV, a true freshman, finished with back-to-back double-doubles for Eastern (4-2) after scoring 32 points and grabbing 13 rebounds in a win over Marygrove on Wednesday. He went 9-of-12 from the floor and six of his 15 rebounds came on the offensive end.
The Eagles' next game will be on the road in the state of Nebraska as they begin the month of December against Omaha this Tuesday night at 8 pm.
