Red Wings end 2015 with a loss to Pittsburgh at the Joe, 5-2
Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin scored goals 34 seconds apart in the 3rd period to help the Pittsburgh Penguins to a 5-2 win over the Detroit Red Wings.
Justin Abdelkader and Brendan Smith scored Detroit's first two goals in the 1st period before the Penguins responded in the 2nd period with two powerplay goals.
The Red Wings will begin 2016 with a long two-week road trip, starting with a stop in Buffalo to take on the Sabres this Saturday afternoon at 1 pm.
