Chris Tillman pitched six impressive innings and Michael Bourn & Jonathan Schoop homered off Justin Verlander to lead the Baltimore Orioles to a 3-1 victory over the Detroit Tigers.

Baltimore and Toronto Blue Jays are now tied in the AL wild card standings and occupy both spots. Meanwhile, Detroit fell two games behind the wild cards and the N.Y. Yankees are also two back of the Orioles and Blue Jays.

With three more weeks left in the regular season, the Tigers will get back to work as they host a 4-game series at Comerica Park against Minnesota, which begins this Monday night at 7 pm.
