Stafford redeems himself to give Lions a 20-17 win over Bears
Made to wear a glove through most of the game due to an injured finger, quarterback Matthew Stafford ran for a go-ahead, 7-yard touchdown with 3:17 left in the game after throwing two interceptions in the 4th quarter (one of which was returned for a score on the previous possession) as the Detroit Lions held on for a 20-17 win over the Chicago Bears.
Detroit (9-4) have now won five straight and eight of their last nine games to move them a step closer to winning a division title for the first time in 23 years.
The Lions' quest for the NFC North title continues next Sunday when they travel to East Rutherford to take on the N.Y. Giants at MetLife Stadium. Game time is set for 1 pm.
