Lions' 2nd-quarter explosion leads to 40-32 win over Bears
The Lions scored 27 2nd-quarter points and got contributions on offense, defense, and special teams during a 3-minute & 26-second stretch as Detroit earned a huge win over the Chicago Bears, 40-32. The win moved the Lions into a 1st-place tie with the Bears (3-1) in the NFC North division.
Reggie Bush broke loose for a big run, Calvin Johnson caught a touchdown pass, and Glover Quin returned an interception that was almost for a score. Bush ran for 112 of his 139 yards in the first half on 11 carries & scored on a 37-yard run and Stafford completed 23-of-35 passes for 242 yards as part of the Lions’ 2nd-quarter surge.
Next week, the Lions hit the road as they travel to Green Bay to face the division rival Packers, who are coming off of a bye week. Game is set to begin at 1 pm.
