Pistons avoid 4th quarter disaster with 115-114 win over Hornets
Charlotte's Marco Belinelli's bank shot from 3-point range was disallowed because it came too late, as the Detroit Pistons held on to defeat the Hornets, 115-114, at the Palace of Auburn Hills. With Charlotte down by one, Belinelli was inbounded from the sideline with 0.5 seconds left, bounced the ball off a defender back to himself, and then quickly released a wild shot that went in off the glass before referees disallowed the shout after further review.
Boban Marjanovic led Detroit with 15 points & a career-high 19 rebounds, Tobias Harris scored 25 points, and Reggie Jackson finished the night with 22 points & 11 assists.
The Pistons will go a 5-game week-long west coast trip, starting this Saturday night at Portland. Game time is set for 10 pm ET.
