Spartan women makes NCAA tournament as 4th seed
Three michigan teams on the men's side made the NCAA tournament, and now only one from the women's side: the Michigan State Spartans. The ladies have been selected as the 4th seed in the Dallas region and they will take on the 13 seed Northern Iowa this Sunday night at 7:50 pm ET from the Intrust Bank Arena in Wichita, Kansas.
Also in the Dallas region are the Baylor Bears, who are seeded #1. The other #1 seeds include Connecticut (Philadelphia region), Tennessee (Dayton region), and Stanford (Spokane region). The tournament begins Saturday, March 19th with 16 first round games scheduled beginning at 11 am ET with Tennessee taking on #16 Stetson. For the Spartan women, there is a chance they could face Green Bay from the Horizon League in the 2nd round and even #1 Baylor in the Sweet 16.
