RED WINGS BEAT WASHINGTON IN A SHOOTOUT 4-3

After Alex Ovechkin scored for the Caps with 7 seconds left in Regulation the Red Wings regrouped and went out and beat Washington in a shootout 4-3.
The Capitals led 1-0 after one period and Detroit scored with goals from Drew Miller and Danny DeKeyser in the second.
Gustav Nyquist scored in the third and Detroit led 3-2 then Ovechkin tied it at three after regulation and after a scoreless overtime. Patrick Eaves the only scorer for the Red Wings in the shootout for both teams.
