Detroit suffers through another shootout in 1-0 loss to Jackets
Columbus goalie Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 30 shots through overtime and two more in a shootout as the Blue Jackets shutout the Detroit Red Wings, 1-0, for their seventh straight victory. The Wings have lost four straight games and are 1-6 in shootouts.
Red Wings goaltender Jimmy Howard made 29 saves and Pavel Datsyuk had the lone shootout goal for Detroit, who have dropped three consecutive home games in shootouts.
The Red Wings will take a couple of days off before returning to action at the Joe Louis Arena this Friday night at 7:30 pm when they host the New York Islanders.
