Late rally falls short as Tigers lose to Toronto, 7-4
Toronto's Adam Lind homered, drove in two runs, and extended his hitting streak to 11 games, and the Blue Jays beat the Detroit Tigers, 7-4. Detroit's Brandon Inge hit a two-run double off Shawn Camp in the ninth and Sizemore added an RBI single as Detroit cut the deficit in half. Bule Jays' Frank Francisco came on and ended it by getting Brennan Boesch to line out, picking up his second save.
The Tigers will look to rebound from this loss when they face the Blue Jays again this Saturday afternoon at 4 pm ET. With both pitchers (2-3) looking to get their 3rd win of the year, Justin Verlander is set to take the mound against Toronto's Ricky Romero.
