Minnerath posts 34 as Titans overwhelm Vikings, 92-62
Two Titans recorded double-doubles while another joined the 1,000-point club as Detroit returned home to Calihan Hall with an impressive 92-62 win over the Cleveland State Vikings.
The win is the 12th for the Titans at home this season, which ties the number for the most home wins during the regular season since 2001-02. The win also placed Detroit (17-9, 9-4 HL) solely in second place in the Horizon League.
Senior forward Nick Minnerath led Detroit with 34 points & 12 rebounds for his second double-double of the season, while junior guard Ray McCallum scored 16 points with 13 boards, eight assists, & four steals. Jason Calliste scored 19 points with five assists and became the 38th Titan in history to join the 1,000-point club with 1,001, while Doug Anderson added nine points.
Up next for Detroit will be a trip to Valparaiso this Saturday at 6:00 p.m. ET. The Titans will look to avenge their loss to the Crusaders from a month ago, who are currently in first place in the Horizon League with a two-game lead.
