Pistons fall victim to another late rally, 103-101, vs. Pelicans
After enduring a 104-101 loss to Milwaukee, Detroit fell victim to another late loss as Eric Gordon’s lay-up with 1.9 seconds left allowed the New Orleans Pelicans to overcome a 16-point deficit in a 103-101 victory over the Pistons. Detroit has now lost 10 of their last 13 games.
The Pistons (17-26) took a 16-point lead in the 3rd quarter after a 30-4 run, but quickly gave up a 14-5 run to the Pelicans. Andre Drummond recorded his first 20-20 game of his career with 21 points & 20 rebounds. Brandon Jennings finished with 28 points with 18 of them in the 3rd quarter.
Detroit will look to even their road record (10-11) as they head to Texas this Sunday night to take on the Dallas Mavericks at 7:30 pm.
