Despite slow 1st half, WMU women defeat Holy Cross, 51-40
The Western Michigan Broncos overcame a 32-23 halftime deficit to come away with a 51-40 win over the Holy Cross Crusaders at Stony Brookâs Seawolves Classic. With the victory, WMU improves to 7-4.
The Broncos were led by Miracle Woods, who finished with a team-high 17 points, as well as a career-high three assists, one block, and a steal. Junior point guard Alex Morton ended the night with 16 points.
Once 2015 gets underway, Western Michigan will open their MAC season this Saturday afternoon at home against Akron. Game time is set for 2 pm.
