Offense struggles again as Red Wings fall to Lightning, 3-1 628x471

In a potential first-round playoff game, Alex Killorn scored a tiebreaking goal midway through the 3rd period and goalie Ben Bishop made 30 saves as the Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the Detroit Red Wings, 3-1.

Tomas Tatar scored the only goal for the Red Wings, who have now lost six out of their last eight games. Detroit is currently 9-11-6 in Atlantic Division games.

All next week, the Red Wings will be at the Joe Louis Arena for a four-game home stretch, beginning with this Sunday afternoon at 12:30 pm against their old Western Conference rival St. Louis.
