Tyler Johnson scored in the 1st and 2nd period to lead the Tampa Bay Lightning to a 5-2 victory over the Detroit Red Wings to tie their Eastern Conference quarterfinal series at three.

Tomas Tatar scored twice for Detroit, but the Lightning answered back with two late goals to seal the win.

The deciding Game 7 will be played in Tampa Bay this Wednesday night at 7:30 pm with the winner earning a trip to Montreal to take on the Canadiens in the Eastern Conference semifinals.

Evgeny Kuznetsov scored the go-ahead goal with 7:18 remaining in the game and goalie Braden Holtby only needed to make 10 saves to lead the Washington Capitals to a 2-1 victory that eliminated the New York Islanders in seven in the Eastern Conference quarterfinals.

Joel Ward gave Washington a 1-0 lead late in the 2nd period and Frans Nielsen helped the Islanders pull even early in the 3rd period.

The Capitals will now move on to the East semifinals to face the top-seed New York Rangers, who eliminated Washington from the 2012 and 2013 playoffs -- in Game 7 each time.
