Pistons pound Lakers on Kobe's last night at the Palace, 111-91
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scored 22 points and Andre Drummond added 18 points & 15 rebounds as the Detroit Pistons defeated their old NBA Finals-rival Los Angeles Lakers, 111-91. Reggie Jackson finished the night with 20 points as Detroit won their fourth straight game.
Kobe Bryant, a loyal Laker playing his last game at the Palace of Auburn Hills, missed much of the pregame warmups while battling a stomach bug and needed an IV after the game before talking to the media. Even after a couple of standing ovations from the fans, Kobe would finish with just five points on 2-of-15 shooting.
The Pistons will be back on the court this Monday night when they travel to Charlotte to take on the Hornets at 7 pm.
