Eastern women cruise past Buffalo; U-M falls flat at Maryland
The Eastern Michigan Eagles brought their winning streak to three games after convincing defeating the Buffalo Bulls, 70-55. Junior Cha Sweeney led Eastern with a team-high 19 points while sophomore Sasha Dailey added a season-high 17 points. The Eagles will come back home to the Convocation Center in Ypsilanti to host Northern Illinois this Saturday afternoon at 2:30 pm.
Despite having a one-point halftime lead, the Michigan Wolverines fell flat in the 2nd half as the Maryland Terrapins came away with a 76-56 victory. Senior Madison Ristovski tied a season-high with 15 points while sophomore Katelynn Flaherty finished the night with 17 points for Michigan, who shot 42% (24-for-57) for the game. The Wolverines will return to Ann Arbor for their regular season home finale against Penn State this Saturday at noon.
