The Tigers won a wild one at Comerica Park on Sunday defeating the Oakland Athletics 5-4. Doug Fister pitched a strong seven innings giving up just two runs on six hits while striking out eight. In the eighth inning Miguel Cabrera reached first base on an error by Oakland center fielder Coco Crisp allowing Austin Jackson and Omar Infante to score making it 3-2. in the eighth Oakland tied the game when Yoenis Cespedes stole two bases and scored on a wild pitch from Joaquin Benoit to make it 3-3. Josh Reddick then homered to put Oakland up 4-3. The Tigers loaded up the bases on Oakland closer Grant Balfour in the ninth when Don Kelly
hit a drive deep to right field scoring Omar Infante from third base for the walk-off win.
Detroit now heads to the west coast to face the Athletics in the raucous confines of the Oakland Coliseum. The Tigers will
send Anibal Sanchez (9-13, 3.86) to the mound to face Brett Anderson ( 4-2, 2.57) in game three on Tuesday night for a 9:07 start.
