Red Wings lose in a shootout to Chicago 2-1
Red Wings Tomas Tatar the goal scorer but Chicago extended its NHL-record season-opening points streak to 22 games beating Detroit 2-1.
Scoreless through two periods of play then Tatar scored at 2:43 of the third period, with Detroit leading late Patrick Kane tied the game up at one with 2:02 left in Regulation.
Kane finsihed the day scoring the only goal in the shootout. Red Wings play Colorado on Tuesday at Joe Louis Arena.
